Safeguarding & Security

At New Eltham Methodist Church, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all who worship, volunteer, visit or take part in our activities.

Our volunteers and leaders are appropriately DBS checked for their roles and complete regular safeguarding training in line with Methodist Church requirements and best practice. We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe, valued and respected within our church community.

We also work closely with ProtectUK guidance to help safeguard our people and our premises. In addition, a number of our volunteers have completed ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) awareness training delivered by the Metropolitan Police, helping us to recognise potential risks and respond appropriately.

Our safeguarding, health and safety, and security policies are regularly reviewed and updated. Copies of all church policies are available on request from the Church Administrator.

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact our Safeguarding Officer or the Church Administrator without delay. Email: newelthammethodist@gmail.com
